Short Description.
An out-of-service inspection on Tanks T101, T102, T202 and T302 was carried out at National Oil Tanzania tank farm in December 2016 and January 2017. This follows the employer’s need to repair the selected tanks in order to increase safety and service life. This inspection complied with the API 653 standard. This tank inspection included visual inspection of the tank, tank appurtenances, tank bottom plate and tank roof plate.
Service provided in this assignment included the following.
The activities included visual inspection and thickness measurements of bottom plates, shell plates and roof plates for tank no. T101, tank no. T102, tank no. T202 and tank no. T302. The purpose of the inspection and tests is to determine the tank condition and the extent of the repairs to be done to the tank shell.
The findings of the inspection evaluated and presented. recommendations was the basis for the expected tank repairs.
