Introduction
NORPLAN is the leading geotechnical engineering services company in Tanzania, and has a fully-fledged laboratory and several drilling rigs tailored for soil and rock tests. The lab is accredited by the Engineer’s Registration Board of Tanzania and is well equipped to conduct classification, strength, deformation, chemical and durability tests to obtain geotechnical parameters for design.
NORPLAN has a modern soil mechanics and materials testing laboratory with its equipment imported from ELE International and certified by Tanzania Bureau of Standards (TBS). The engineering laboratory tests on soils and materials are carried out using equipment and methodology which are in compliance with the stipulations of the relevant British Standards. The laboratory testing team comprises competent motivated staff with wide experience and deep knowledge on soils and materials testing.
