NORPLAN Tanzania together with Multiconsult Norge AS has been awarded a contract to oversee electrification in settlements which already had a distribution network at the end of 2012, referred to as densification. The project is aiming to expand electricity access in nine regions as well as the hybrid generation systems which will combine new solar power with existing diesel generator units. The project will connect customers in over 1500 villages.
Service provided in this Project included the following.
- Project management and contract administration
- Review of contractors’ details design (Details Survey)
- Construction supervision, monitoring and evaluation.
- Quality control management.
- Testing and commissioning of installed facilities.
