Short Description
The SGR will link Tanzania, from the port of Dar es Salaam on the shores of Indian Ocean to the port of Mwanza on the shore of Lake Victoria in northern Tanzania, and to neighboring countries of Rwanda, Burundi, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).
Norplan (T) Limited was contracted to undertake Geotechnical investigation along the Central Railway Station to Shaurimoyo Section to support the design of viaduct construction. The field work included drilling boreholes to 35m below ground level, sampling and delivering the samples to the Client’s core yard.
Service provided in this assignment included the following:
- Borehole drilling (Central Railway Station – Shaurimoyo Section)
- Laboratory testing
- Preparation of factual report.
